Straight Up is a studio album by Canadian blues band Downchild Blues Band (shortened to Downchild in the 1980s), released in 1973. The band is credited as a major influence on The Blues Brothers, with three of their songs covered on the first Blues Brothers album, Briefcase Full of Blues (1978). Co-founded by brothers Donnie "Mr. Downchild" Walsh and Richard "Hock" Walsh, the band paved the way for Canadian blues acts such as the Jeff Healey Band, the Colin James Band, the Powder Blues, Sue Foley, The Sidemen, and The Highliners to enjoy success.
