On the Air is the sixteenth studio album by Billy Preston, released in 1984. This album marked Preston's return to music after ending his contract with Motown Records. This album features an array of different tones, stemming from his Soul and R&B roots, while delving into contemporary funk and rock sounds as well. The album also features a fan-favourite Beatles tribute, where Preston experiments with his style to the liking of the monumental '60s group.
