Thornton's "I Work For A Living" appeared on the Chic-produced soundtrack for the 1982 film Soup For One and was sampled by Janet Jackson on "Make Me" (2009). Thornton has performed on records by Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, David Bowie, and many more. Franklin's sole studio recording, "Hot Number," was produced by Jolyon Skinner (Tom Jones, The Temptations, Billy Ocean) and Keith Diamond (Donna Summer, Michael Bolton, James Ingram).
